Student wellbeing
We are a Be You school. We aim to be a positive community founded on respectful relationships and a sense of belonging.
What we teach
Teaching social and emotional skills is part of our curriculum, not an add-on. We use these programs to help students build self-regulation, motivation, respect, empathy, confidence, cooperation, resilience and social skills:
- Play is the Way social skills program
- Keeping Safe: Child Protection Curriculum
- Student leadership — Voice of Kids (VoK), house captains and senior leaders
- Cyber safety sessions run by SAPOL
- Breakfast Club, every Wednesday 8:15am to 8:45am
Who can help
- Deputy Principal, with a focus on student wellbeing and inclusion
- Aboriginal Community Education Officer
- Pastoral Care Worker
Wellbeing in the holidays
School holidays can be hard on some families. Encourage children to manage stress with positive self-talk, exercise, healthy eating, time with friends, and things they simply enjoy.
